Tanzania - Wild Lakes

Day 1
Arrive to Kilimanjaro International Airport. From here you will be welcomed from a representative from TAPAC Safaris. Transfer to Arusha town and a designated hotel for your overnight stay.

Accommodation:              Hotel in Arusha (budget/semi luxury/luxury)

Day 2
After breakfast at the hotel you will be picked up by your guide where you will have a short pre safari brief. Your guide will then go through your itinerary, what you can expect or hope to see as well as some rules and regulations in accordance to Tanzanian laws. After this meeting you will transfer to Lake Manyara National Park for a half day game drive, with lunch at a picnic spot within the park. In the late afternoon drive to your campsite/tented camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Early morning breakfast at the camp, before going on a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. After a short game drive transfer to Lake Eyasi where you will visit the indigenous Datoga tribe. Lunch will be at a picnic spot on the way. In the late afternoon drive to your campsite/tented camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4
Early morning coffee (around 0600). After coffee you will transfer to the village of the Bushmen people of Lake Eyasi, the Hadzabe. From here you will join them on the morning hunt (about 2 – 4 hours). Picnic lunch as you arrive back to the village. Afternoon transfer to Karatu village for dinner and overnight.

Day 5
After breakfast at the campsite/tented camp/lodge, you will transfer to Serengeti National Park, via Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional stop at Olduvai Gorge (important archeological site) or

Masaai village, if interested. Lunch will be at a picnic spot on route to Serengeti. Afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park before driving to the campsite/tented camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6
Early morning game drive in Serengeti (around 0600). Return to your camp for a late breakfast before continuing your day with game drive. Lunch can either be back at the camp or as a picnic lunch. In the afternoon transfer to your campsite/tented camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7
After breakfast at the camp, go for a short game drive as you slowly make your way towards Ngorongoro Conservation area. Lunch will be at a picnic spot on route. In the afternoon transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation area and your campsite/tented camp/lodge for dinner and overnight. Optional afternoon walking safari on the rim of the crater with Masaai guide (if time allows).

Day 8
Early morning descent into the World Famous Ngorongoro Crater for a half day game drive. Ngorongoro crater is the home to the densest population of big predators (lion & Hyenas) as well as the highly endangered Black Rhino. Lunch will be at a picnic spot on the crater floor.  Afternoon transfer to Arusha town for overnight at a designated hotel.

Day 9
Breakfast at the hotel, before doing a short city tour of Arusha as well as lunch at Shanga (if time allows) before transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for flight back home.
